We’re in times where technology is constantly advancing There are always brand new forms of technology being released. Whether this be new cameras, new televisions or the latest mobile phone.. But did you know, that there are now gadgets out there which can help you get a better night’s sleep?

One of these sleeping gadgets is the Nightwave Sleep Assistant. This is a small box which will project a soft blue light onto a wall, or ceiling. The light will pulsate, and you should breathe in and out to match the rhythm of the light. This helps you to relax, and because the system automatically shuts off, you don’t have to worry about getting up to turn this little gadget off yourself.

The White Noise App. This app is extremely helpful in getting you to drift off. Available for both iPhone and Android, this app features over 40 sounds. These are soothing sounds such as rain and waves, which can also be timed to stop, meaning as you begin to drift of, you don’t have to worry about getting up to turn it off yourself or your phone running all night.

The next gadget, called, Beddit, is a sleep monitor. This sensor fits under your sheets, and is super thin, so you won’t even notice it is there. It will then monitor heart and breathing rate throughout the night, and by using the collected data, will work out the quality of your sleep. Thanks to an app, once you wake up, you can quickly view the data for the previous night. The app will show your total sleep time, as well as average heart rate. The app will also ‘rate’ your nights sleep, giving you tips on how you can improve your next one.

The final gadget we’re looking at is the Withings Aura. In additional to a sensor you place under your pillow, the system also features a smart light. This light will admit different wavelengths based on whether you’re trying to fall asleep or you’re waking up. There is an app available, so viewing the data from the sensor is easy. The data allows you to view your movement through the night as well as heart rate.

The advancement in technology really is incredible. It’s great to see that gadgets can now help us get to sleep quicker, or make it an easier task for those who struggle. These are just a few of the growing number of gadgets used for this purpose.
